Christian Jourquin
Position: CEO, Solvay
Christian Jourquin (61) has spent his entire 38 year career in the Group, including 13 years on the Executive Committee.
He joined the Board of Directors on June 2, 2005 and was appointed Chairman of the Executive Committee on May 9, 2006.
He was elected as Chairman of CEFIC on October 4, 2008 and as Chairman of the International Council of Chemical Associations (ICCA) on October 3, 2008.
He was elected as Member of the Board of Management of FEB on December 8, 2009.
Mr Jourquin, a graduate of the Solvay business school of the Free University of Brussels, and of Harvard Business School – International Senior Management Program was General Manager of the Chemicals Sector for the past 6 years until April 30, 2006.
